Carol R. Sixberry, 65, of Fulton passed away Monday, January 26, 2026. She was born in Fulton on March 26, 1960 to Carlton and Sandra Rusaw. Carol was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, Class of ’78 and was a school bus driver with the Fulton City School District before becoming a homemaker. She had a deep love for her Savior, Jesus Christ and was a member of Believer’s Chapel in Fulton where she volunteered at their food pantry and chicken bar-b-ques. Carol and her husband Earl “Bummer” were foster parents to many children throughout the years. They enjoyed camping and spending winters in Florida. Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to Christian music and adored cuddling and loving on her cats.
Carol is survived by her husband, Earl “Bummer” Sixberry, Jr.; her sons, Daniel (Michele) Becker and Josh Sixberry both of Fulton; her daughters, Stephanie Tassone and Amanda Davies both of Fulton; her brother, Daniel (Joanne) Rusaw of TN; her sisters, Cathy Maxam, Katrina Rusaw and Nancy (Wesley) Belcher all of Fulton; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff on the 10th Floor Oncology Unit at Upstate University Hospital for their compassionate care provided to Carol for many years.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2026 with services to follow at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton.
