David V. Hicks, Jr., 35, of North Syracuse passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025. He was born in Fernandina Beach, Florida on February 2, 1990 to David and Wanda Hicks. Dave was a truck driver, self-employed contractor and owner DIME Construction. He was a member of the Gambler 500 Car Club, a Freemason, enjoyed fishing and working on cars. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his partner Meaghen and their sons, Everett and Isaac.
David is survived by his partner, Meaghen Wixson of North Syracuse; his sons, Everett and Isaac; his mother, Wanda (Len) Langdon of Fulton; his father, David Hicks of Blackshear, GA; his paternal grandmother, Maureen Wade of Fernandina Beach, FL; two step sisters, Elizabeth (Greg) Quinn of Ramsey, MN and Rebecca (Brandon) Luffman of Brooklyn Park, MN; his step-brother, Leonard (Jennifer Stump) Langdon, III of Shreveport, LA; Meaghen's parents, Stephen Wixson of North Syracuse and Deana Wixson of Mexico. He was predeceased by his son, Wyatt; his maternal grandparents, Jeanine and Ron Johnson; his paternal grandfather, Herbert Donald Hicks and by Meaghen's brother, Matthew Wixson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton.
