David “Dave” W. Miner Sr., 77, of Fulton, passed away on September 10, 2026 after a brief illness.

Dave was a lifelong resident of Fulton, a community he was proud to call home. He was a hardworking man who devoted much of his life to his family, his career, and his community. Dave was employed by Nestlé for 28 years as a supervisor and retired in 2003 following the closing of the Fulton Nestlé plant.

Dave proudly served his country as a United States Marine Corps veteran. He also proudly served the City of Fulton as a Fire and Police Commissioner for 22 years. His dedication to his community was an important part of his life, and he took great pride in serving the people of the city he loved.

Above all, Dave’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Dave and his wife, Angela, shared 56 years of marriage and a lifetime of love, memories, and experiences together. He cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.

Dave enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including hunting, fishing, bowling, and especially playing cards with his family. He treasured the laughter, stories, and friendly competition that came with those times together. These moments will remain among the many cherished memories his family holds close to their hearts.

Dave will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his community, his strong work ethic, and the countless memories he created with those around him. His presence brought love and laughter to the lives of many, and although his passing leaves a profound emptiness, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on in his family forever.

Dave was predeceased by his parents, Alice and William Miner; his brother, John Miner; his sister, Virginia Morrison; and his beloved granddaughter, Alexandria.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Angela; his daughter, Melissa (Darin) Cory of Hannibal; two sons, David Jr. (Tessie) of South Carolina and Gregory Miner of Fulton; his sister, Rebecca (Dave) Vann of Oswego; his brother, William Miner Jr. of Fulton; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 1 to 3 p.m., with services immediately following at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive, Fulton, NY. Condolences for the Miner family may be shared at www.brownfuneralhomefulton.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dave’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.

Dave may no longer be sitting at the card table, heading out for a day of fishing, or sharing a laugh with his family, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with them always. He was deeply loved, will be greatly missed, and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew him.
