Edward Graham, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and devoted friend, passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 88, after a courageous battle with an illness.

       He was born on January 14, 1938, in Schroeppel, NY, Edward's life was a testament to love, service, and unwavering dedication. Edward was predeceased by his cherished wife, Sheila M. Graham, with whom he shared 44 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they created a home filled with love, warmth and laughter, welcoming family and friends alike. The memories made within those walls continue to be cherished by all who had the privilege to visit.

       A proud veteran, Edward dedicated over 42 years to the New York Air National Guard, achieving the esteemed rank of Chief Master Sergeant before retiring. His commitment to his country was a legacy he passed on to his sons, each of whom also served and retired with honor. He has two grandsons that are also actively serving with honor. Edward's career extended to the 174th Fighter Wing, where he worked as a Federal Civil Servant for 38 years, retiring as the Superintendent of the Armament Branch.

       Outside of his professional life, Edward was a man of many passions. An avid hunter, he treasured the times spent in nature with his sons and grandsons, creating traditions that will be carried on for generations. His heart was generous, always seeking to help others, whether through his involvement with the National Rifle Association, the American Legion, or numerous charitable endeavors. Edward's kindness, quick wit, and warm smile left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He had a unique ability to make others feel valued and welcome, often lightening the mood with a well-timed joke. His generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand were hallmarks of his character.

       He is survived by his loving children, Mark (Joanne) Graham, Joel (Theresa) Graham, Patrick (Celia) Graham, and Candace (Ken) Bartlett. He also leaves behind his brother, Gerald Graham, and a legacy of 10 grandchildren—Crystal, James, Victoria, Andrew, Joel Jr., Kathrine, Nicholas, Matthew, Wesley, and Laura—as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Edward was predeceased by his parents, Louis F. Graham Sr. and Margaret P. Graham (Shattell); his sister, Eleanor Samson; his brother, Louis Graham Jr.; his son, Edward Graham Jr., and by his granddaughter, Elizabeth Graham.

       Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2026 with a service to honor Edward's life at 6 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton.
