IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward I.
Miller
November 28, 1933 – December 19, 2025
Edward I. Miller, 92, of Fulton passed away Friday, December 19, 2025. Ed’s life began in an unusual way, he was born at the Oswego Country Club golf course, where his father worked as a greenskeeper, after his mother went into labor with no time to reach the hospital. As he grew up, the course remained his favorite place to spend time, a place that always felt like home and reflected his deep connection to where his story began. At a young age, his family moved across the street and Ed worked at the country club which was the beginning of his life long love for the game of golf of which he forever excelled. He played on several golf leagues and during the winter when he couldn’t be out on the course, he used his talents in his woodshop to make beautiful gifts for his family, friends and to sell. Ed would also make miniature dollhouse furniture and was a charter member of the Syracuse Miniature Furniture Society.
He had been employed at several local companies before accepting a position at Niagara Mohawk where he was employed for over 30 years and retired as Chief Gas Mechanic.
Ed served in the U.S. Army from 1956 until his Honorable Discharge in 1958. Ed was a devoted member of All Saints Episcopal Church and found great joy in being outdoors particularly in caring for and maintaining his lawn.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nancie (Millen) Miller; his children, Kenneth (Patricia) Miller of Lake Alfred, Florida, Kimberley (Nicole Purdy) Miller of Fulton and Kraig (Deanna) Miller of Volney; his brother, Donald (Sandy) Miller of Minetto; two grandchildren, Matthew and Mandy Miller as well as several nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Edward H. and Lucille E. Miller; his brother, Clifford Miller; his sisters, Betty Koch and Linda Kelly.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Ed in June 2026 at the Battle Island State Park Golf Course, details will be announced at a later date. Condolences for the Miller family may be left at www.brownfuneralhomefulton.com.
