Freda (Caltabiano) Collins, 76, of Palmetto, Florida, passed away February 26, 2025, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. She was the first child born to Morse and Theresa Caltabiano, Freda was a lifelong resident of Fulton, NY, until recently. She was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School and Onondaga Community College. Before her retirement, she worked in various medical settings, being most proud of her time with dialysis patients. Freda was a two-time cancer warrior and a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Fulton. While residing in Florida, she cherished time spent with her husband, her dog (Mr. Gibbs), and their friends. She enjoyed golf cart rides, playing pinnacle, and exercising with her pool girls. She was grateful for their proximity to North Carolina, enabling wonderful visits with her son and his family. On return trips to central New York, she loved catching up with close friends and family, and enjoyed lakeside gin-and-tonics made by her son-in-law. She was a devoted grandmother, extremely proud of her grandchildren. Freda was predeceased by her father, Morse Caltabiano, and her brother, Andy Caltabiano. She is survived by her mother, Theresa (Salvage) Caltabiano; her loving husband of 42 years, Kenneth "Harley" Collins; her daughter Jamie (Mark) Ruzekowicz; son Jeffrey (Jamie) Larmondra; several grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Nancy) Caltabiano and Jim (Monica) Caltabiano; niece and nephew, grandnieces and grandnephew. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Fulton.
