Obituary

Kelly Lynn Dolbear, 45, of Oswego passed away Friday, December 19, 2025. She was born in Oswego on February 18, 1980 and received her G.E.D. from the Fulton City School District. Kelly enjoyed watching her son, Ryan race his #31B car on the local DIRT tracks. She was deeply proud of her children and loved sharing her son’s racing statistics and her daughter’s photos with anyone who would listen. She often spoke fondly of Brooke, a hairdresser whose work brought happiness to her customers. She would randomly text her children “I love you.” Her family meant everything to her, and she never missed an opportunity to celebrate and share their accomplishments.

Kelly had been employed as a home health aide and at the family business, Jacobson Farms but her greatest role was that of being a loving mother and homemaker. She enjoyed sports and while in high school she played volleyball and softball. After high school she continued to play softball on many adult leagues.

She is survived by her children, Brooke Dolbear and Ryan Dolbear both of Fulton; her parents, Ron and Pam Jacobson of Oswego; her sister, Rebecca (Michael) Lindsley of Fulton; her brother, Peter Wallis, Jr. of Oswego; her step-sister, Julie (Dan) Pawlewicz of Fulton; two step-brothers, Adam Jacobson of Oswego and Cory (Christine) Jacobson of Fulton as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Kelly was predeceased by her son, Cole Dolbear; her brother, Ryan Wallis; her step-sister, Heather Jacobson and by her father, Peter Wallis, Sr.

Calling hours are 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2026 with services to follow at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton. Contributions in Kelly’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org/donate.
