IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda
Woodward
July 21, 1945 – January 2, 2026
Linda Woodward, 80, of Fulton, passed away peacefully Friday, January 2, 2026 at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, New York and was joyfully reunited with her beloved husband in Heaven, after a long illness.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother always present for every birthday, school event and special moments in her family’s lives. Before returning to the work, Linda devoted her time to her daughter’s activities, serving as a 4H troop leader, a girl scout leader and a room mother who never hesitated to bring cupcakes/Hi C or lend a hand in her daughter’s classrooms throughout grade school.
Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures-her grandchildren, listening to Alan Jackson, enjoying meals at Mimi’s, browsing QVC, and a cold one tucked away in the freezer. She proudly retired after 25 years of commitment and service from Huhtamaki.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Melissa Olcott of Fulton and Melinda (Todd) Hadlow of Oswego; her brother, Donald (Linda) Pelton; five grandchildren, PJ, Katelyn, Zachary, Olivia, and Jack; one great granddaughter, Abigail as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Woodward; her brother, George Pelton; her parents Warren and Anita Pelton and by her infant son, Edward.
Linda will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for her quick wit and dry sense of humor. She was the family matriarch known for speaking her mind and for holding her family together with strength and love-the glue that made it all work.
