Loren "Dune" MacEwen, 75, of Volney, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego. He was born in Fulton to Harold and Anna MacEwen and was a life resident of the Fulton-Volney area. Loren was employed by the Sealright Company for more than 30 years. He had an appreciation for classic cars and the competition of DIRT racing.

Loren is survived by his sons, Christopher (Dionne) MacEwen of California, Randall (Candice) MacEwen of California and Jeremiah (Traci) Thompson of Fulton; his brother, Leonard (Phyllis) MacEwen of Granby; four grandchildren, Riley, Liliana, Terra and Amealia as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Jean Stacey and by his brothers, Melvin, Chester and George MacEwen.

A calling hour will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2019 with a service to follow at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Volney.
