Obituary

Priscilla "Prissy" Wagner, 84, of Fulton, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on December 5, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. Born on February 10, 1941, in the small coal-mining town of Filbert, West Virginia, Priscilla was the daughter of Manuel and Julia Payne and truly a coal miner's daughter. One of seven children, she grew up in a close-knit family that later made their home in Bridgeton, New Jersey. It was there that Priscilla met her future husband, Clint Wagner, while working at the Owens-Illinois glass bottling plant. They married in 1964 and together built a life filled with adventure, devotion, and family. Clint's career with O-I took them to New Orleans, Toledo, and finally Fulton in 1978, the place Priscilla would call home for most of her life. Along the way, they welcomed their two children, Sheri and Erik. Priscilla lived a life rich with creativity, curiosity, and generosity. She was an avid gardener whose flowers brightened every space she touched, and an exceptional cook who expressed love through every meal she shared. Over the years, she spent countless joyful hours reading, crocheting, drawing, and oil painting, always nurturing her artistic spirit. Animals held a special place in her heart, especially her beloved dogs and cats—most memorably her schnauzers. Throughout her life, Priscilla worked in a variety of roles, from manufacturing to landscaping to being a hair salon receptionist, but her most cherished role was that of homemaker, wife, and mother. Many in Fulton will remember her welcoming smile at Gentile's Nursery and Lords & Ladies Hair Salon, or her friendly presence at Foster's Diner and Doc Manitta's grocery store in years gone by. She briefly lived in Virginia Beach in the early 2000s to be closer to her son, before returning to Fulton in 2008. She leaves behind her daughter, Sheri Webster; her son, Erik Wagner; two grandchildren, Warren (Dennise) and Charlene; eight great-grandchildren, Kamerin (Joshua), Kaden, Elera, Caleb, Emilie, Kyler, Gage and August; three great-great-grandchildren, Linkoln, Maverick and Kashton each of whom carries a piece of her spirit forward. Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents; her six siblings; her beloved husband, Clint; one granddaughter, Jennifer; three great grandchildren, Carson, Tremane and Zanalynn. To those who knew her, Priscilla was unforgettable—feisty, stubborn, free-spirited, and fiercely loving. Beneath her strong exterior was a heart that cared deeply for others and gave freely of her time, her kindness, and her strength. Her family and friends will forever treasure the memories, laughter, and love she shared throughout her remarkable life.
