Raymond T. "Skip" Howe, 59 of Canandaigua, formerly of Fulton, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born in Fulton on August 24, 1965 and was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School in 1984. Skip served in the U.S. Navy and was employed in the construction industry until a work-related accident caused him to take an early retirement. He was a former member of the Cody and Scriba Volunteer Fire Departments. Skip enjoyed NASCAR as well as DIRT Racing and was a writer for the Gater News. He established Local Trax which was a talk show and online column covering local race news. Skip enjoyed listening to music, worked several events Disc Jockey and was a fan of the NY Yankees and the Seattle Seahawks. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Michelle Howe of Churchville; his children, Tim Howe, Ryan Howe, Corrine Sharp and Samantha (Jacob Norris) Howe; his step-daughters, Ashley and Miranda McCarthy both of Chili Heights; his sister, Sandy Patrick of Fulton; his brother, Nicholas (Patti) DeGelorm, III of Fulton; three grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Skip was predeceased by his mother, Betty J. Howe; his sister, Deb Edwards and by a step-daughter, Katelyn McCarthy. Calling hours will be held on Skip's 60th birthday, Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton with a funeral service at 3 p.m. Private burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Volney.
