Robert C. Meyer, Sr., 82, of Fulton passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse on March 18, 1943 to Robert and Dorothy Hoffman Meyer and was a graduate of Baldwinsville High School, Class of 1961 where he was a star athlete in football and set many state records as a member of their track team. He earned the nickname "Rapid Robert" for being the fastest man in the county from track in high school. Bob was a drywall installer with Truax & Hovey for 20 years and established his own drywall business, Meyer Drywall ,which he operated for 25 years. In his free time, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes, snowmobiling, going to the races at the Oswego Speedway and cook outs with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda (Gillespie) Meyer; his children, Deborah (Douglas) Randall of Virginia, Robert (Gina Fancett) Meyer, Jr. of Oswego, Linette Meyer of Fulton, Wendy Meyer of Fulton and Sandra (Edward Bock) Meyer of Minetto; four grandchildren, Matthew, Jamie, Joseph and Jacob; three great grandchildren, Sophia, Jack and JoAnna as well as several nieces, nephews and lots of loving pets. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister, Judith Littau.
