Robert D. Whipple, Jr., 78, of Pennellville passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at home with his wife by his side. He was born in Syracuse on December 31, 1946 to Francis and Robert Whipple, Sr. and was a graduate of Phoenix High School Class of '65. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1966 and served during the Vietnam War until he was honorable discharged in 1970. He was employed as a carpenter for over 30 years with the Carpenters Union Local #12, Syracuse. Bob was a Stock Car driver and raced throughout the Northeast and locally at both Fulton and Brewerton Speedway's. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda E. Whipple; his daughter, Michelle (Joseph) Regensburger of Fulton; his son, Robert M. Whipple of Pennellville; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Josephine Regensburger. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister, Bonnie and by his brother, William Whipple. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo Street in Fulton. There are no calling hours.
